This year we chose the Billy Riordan Memorial Clinic to support.  Maggs Riordan visited us at the school and discussed the Medical Clinic created in memory of her son who died in a swimming accident.  Every year we will make a monetary donation to the clinic.  We raise these funds specifically though our bake sales held at various events.  The 'Crew' also could be found volunteering for the local Operation Santa program, packaging gifts for children who aren't as fortunate as others during the holidays.  We also have been selling colored bracelets to help raise money for the Bay State  Hospital Children's Miracle Network.  Displays were created for the school to help explain the culture and heritage of the Irish.  This year we had one for Halloween (Samhain), An Irish Christmas, The 90th Anniversay of the Easter Rising and the 25th Anniversary of the Hunger Strikes.  Our 2nd annual production was A Christmas Carol, we had many gifts such as coasters, paintings, hotplates that we made ourselves.  There was also a raffle of various gift baskets which we created alone.  During February we waved goodbye to a group of us off to visit the Emerald Isle.  They had fantastic weather for there week tour of the entire island.  Many are looking forward to next years trip which is already being planned.  The month of March was very insane.  We had the pleasure of being invited to march in many parades; New Haven Ct., Springfield and Holyoke, MA.  During the week we also were able to attend the flag raising ceremony on the steps of Springfield City Hall, meet the Mayor of Kerry Toirsa Ferris and attend a talk given by Gerry Adams.  Now our time is winding down with a few things left on our agenda this year.  We will travel to Boston for a luncheon at the Irish Consulate and have a discussion while we are visiting with the Consulate.  Our second annual Ceili is quickly approaching and we make food and their is music for dancing your favorite jig or dance.  It is a special thank you to the community for all their continued support.  The Crew is also trying their hand at cosponsoring a Murder Mystery Dinner Theater with the High School's Robotics Team.  The play was written and being produced by Justine, one of the students at our school.  She has helped with the Crew for the past 2 years.  This is her 3rd and final production for the Crew as fundraisers.  Our last item is a special night to be held in June to help celebrate all the good things done in the school district.  There will be our information table.  We can't wait!
